This original Shaker Pantry Box was acquired in the early 1970’s at an auction of Shaker items in Massachusetts.
The. box is pinned together with all of its original copper pinions or escuscheons. The wood is very slim and perfectly curved. The handle is shaped beautifully.
The box is in excellent condition and has the unmistakable simplicity and elegance of Shaker craftsmanship.
Fully intact boxes are now hard to find; there are many reproductions marketed today. The small round shape is quite collectible.
