We obtained this table from a shuttered business and we do not know the maker or when produced but believe sometime in the 1980s would be accurate. It has a very heavy 100 pound steel base and coupled with the top weighs around 175 pounds. It is very sturdy. We do know from what we have seen that it was once an extension table and was modified to exclude the leaf and the table was used as a conference table. We have refinished it based on what we observed with its modification. It should be noted that the base is obviously not solid bronze but it is a finish over steel and while it photographs well, there are actually more marks visible upon closer inspection, but otherwise are not noticeable unless you view up close. Some minor marks visible to the table top. It is strong and well supported. We have refinished it with a lacquer and it is ready for use. Certainly in the style of Warren Platner. We believe judging from the walnut it is probably Italian walnut and this is likely mad win Italy or the USA. See less
