A finely hand woven antique carry basket from the state of Maine. Circa Early 20th Century. I acquired this piece on one of my Recent Picking Adventures in the Down East Coastal Maine Region. It has Very Nice Workmanship in the Hand Woven Features. It can easily Be Attributed to having been Made by the Penobscot Northeastern American Indian tribe. It has excellent color and honest age patina.
Basket itself measures 5 1/4 inches tall x 9 1/2 inches long x 9 1/2 wide. It is 8 3/4 inches tall including the carry handle.
