Lovely period Art Nouveau form. The shouldered bust is a beautiful patinated greenish brown bronze and the stepped base gilt bronze…a wonderful contrast.
Hans Müller, an Austrian sculptor, born 1873 and died 1937. Born into an artistic Viennese family was influenced by his father, a sculptor, to become sculptor, as well. He is best known for his bronze busts of the Viennese society but also did some of Napoleon and sculpted animals and birds.
