Rendered in the Imari palette of red, cobalt blue, and gold, this bowl features a transfer-decorated interior of irises and an exterior band of peonies and blue foliage over a vivid red ground.

Produced during Japan’s export revival era (c. 1970s–1990s), when Arita and Kutani workshops created high-quality porcelain for Western collectors, combining traditional Imari motifs with modern enamel transfer techniques.
