'Polish Pottery' Unikat "Whisper of Love" Grand Footed Tabletop Hot or Cold Food Server ( Also Ovenproof )
Bolesławiec stoneware, also known as Polish Pottery is a type of pottery that is handcrafted in the town of Bolestawiec, Poland. It is known for its intricate designs, vibrant colors and durability.
Made from white clay and fired at temperatures exceeding 1350 Celsius ( 2,462 Fahrenheit ), the pieces are very resistant to chipping and breaking. The glaze is lead free and non-toxic.
Ceramika Artystyczna Company is the most prominent manufacturer of Bolesławiec stoneware as its long history enables them to produce purely European stoneware and Polish Pottery alike.
The artisans there are trained to incorporate traditional Polish motifs into the Polish Pottery designs.
The company has a special line of bake/ serve ware called UNIKAT which guarantees that each piece bought from that particular line is handmade and the design is unique to the piece itself. No two pieces are exactly alike even though there may be other pieces with similar patterns. Each piece is uniquely designed by one of their top echelon in-house designers.
This fluted grand bowl food server was designed by Maria Starzyk and was produced in 2006.
She called the pattern " Whisper of Love"
Comes with certificate of authenticity
This fluted grand bowl food server is in excellent condition and has never been used. There are no chips, breaks or repairs.
Please note that while Polish Pottery is fired at temperatures that make them very strong, I still suggest using common sense in handling. Also Polish Pottery forms from the UNIKAT line are not from casts that are stock, they are hand formed and cast, similar to a work of art. Therefore, any unsymmetrical aspect to the structure of any piece I am selling here represents the handwork of the artist and does not indicate a defect. All pieces lay flat on a surface and the thicknesses of the bottoms, sides, tops, handles, etc look and feel pretty consistent.
I acquired this piece and many others from a wealthy woman who owned many high end lines of goods and treasures. She needed to downsize and sell many items that she didn't get the opportunity to enjoy. But she was happy to give the opportunity to someone else.

the feet lift the bottom up .625 " high from the table ( 1.6 cm )

It certainly looks and feels unused. But to be safe, I would consider it 'new' old stock. There are no chips, breaks or repairs or flaws in the glaze that I can see. It comes with a certificate of authenticity and original manufacturer sticker, but no box. less
