Dimensions: 10 ⅜” H x 5 ⅝” W x 5 ⅝” D
Washed in stunning cobalt blue glaze, this vintage pair of French Gres d’Alsace ceramic vases comes from the Alsatian town of Betschdorf which has maintained a unique tradition of ceramic arts since the 18th century, iconic for staying faithful to this specific shade of blue salt glaze. The torpedo shaped vases are decorated in stylized Art Nouveau daisies or aster flowers in a pale blue over the deep cobalt ground while intense emerald green vines wrap the space in between. Each vessel is signed on the bottom to identify the foundry and place, as well as numeric code. Please view the detailed images. Sold as a pair.
