Title card says Florida Keys which seems to refer to the series and not the painting, this piece showcases Hallam’s signature Fauvist-inspired color palette, with bold, gestural brushstrokes capturing the movement of the sea and the energy of the racing sailboats. The combination of a meticulously detailed nautical chart and the artist’s expressive, vibrant painting creates a striking juxtaposition between the structured map and the spontaneity of the regatta.
Measuring 24.5" x 47" in its frame, with a visible image size of 15.5" x 37", this piece is professionally framed in a black and blue lacquered frame with a double mat. The painting itself is in excellent condition, with only some normal use wear on the frame. Hallam’s signature appears in the lower right corner, further cementing its authenticity and collectibility. It retains original Dyansen Gallery label.

Born in England in 1937, Kerry Hallam developed his artistic talent at London University’s Central College of Art, where he studied under notable mentors such as Leslie Cole, Patrick Heron, and Hans Tisdale. After being selected for Britain’s Royal Society of Artists in Watercolor, he embarked on a lifelong exploration of color, movement, and maritime themes. Inspired by the Fauvist movement, Hallam infused his works with brilliant, expressive colors while embracing the Impressionists’ sense of intimacy. His passion for coastal landscapes and regattas took him across the world, with exhibitions in Paris, London, Tokyo, New York, Beverly Hills, Hong Kong, and San Francisco.
