We are thrilled that we could find a matching set of eight of these stunning plates. They’re beautifully decorated in Amari patterns that we believe date to the late 20th century. Classic and traditional, alternating Patterns scallop around the rim while in the center a wheeled design with a floral running through it as detail. Colors of ox blood red, blue, green with accent of gold, decorate the entire plate against a soft white. Besides of the slightly shallow plate are decorated with a navy blue scroll, and the plate is signed on the bottom

Origin: Imari ware originates from the town of Arita, in the former Hizen Province, Japan.
Material: Porcelain.
Design: Characterized by vibrant colors, often including blue, red, and gold.

One plate has a chip on the rim, see the photo none of the other others have any chips for cracks. There are some loss of gold at the edges of the plate and on the plate that’s likely from handling and use. See less
