The perfect way to celebrate the arrival of Spring all year long!
Made of hand thrown clay by C.A.S. Vietri in Italy in the 1980's. The dinner and salad plates feature hand painted yellow tulips with aqua blue accents on the vase, leaves, plate edge on a pink background and finished with a salt glaze. The saucers do not have any of the floral artwork.
Vietri Ceramiche is an Italian ceramics company known for its handcrafted and hand-painted designs. often featuring vibrant colors and motifs inspired by the Amalfi Coast.
Makers mark on the bottom includes C.A.S. which stands for Ceramiche Artistica Solimente .

There are no major chips or cracks. Because these plates are handcrafted there are slight variations in the color of the plates background and artwork. This is part of the plates rustic charm. The salt glaze adds to the rustic feel of the plates with minor textural variations occurring in a few places. Again these are inherent to the design of the plates from the choice of materials, to the choice of glaze to create a beautiful plate that shows it's handcrafted nature as opposed to a plate made of bone china. The front of every plate is photographed so that you can see these variations for yourself and how they don't detract from the beauty of this set of plates.
