Silver miniature sedan chair with carriers hand crafted in China.
Sedan chairs and palanquins were seen in China hundreds of years. Nobles, court officials, and the wealthy were carried through crowded cities and over roads in a comfortable covered chair held and propelled by 2 or 4 men.
There is some amazing detail here such as the faces of the barefoot bearers and the woven cane of the chair.
Made in China, early 20th C.
Measures 3-3/4" x 1" x 2"
