About The Poster: We recently purchased a few plates from the German Dekorative Vorbilder series, published at the turn of the century from the 1890s on.
The series povided ornament ideas/inspiration for designers. Printed in Stuttgart and published by the Jul. Hoffmann publishing house, these seem to be the German version of the French Document du Decorateur series.
Excellent colour, hard to find images - we think these would look wonderful framed, alone or as a group - check out our other prints! This particular sheet has obvious foxing, which, in this case, we think adds to its charm. Please see photos for details. Rare.
