This Arthur dove rare vintage 1994 Modernist offset lithograph print museum poster " dancing Willow " 1943, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The offset lithograph print poster is published by The Museum of Fine Arts Boston, printed in The United States in 1994 in an unnumbered limited edition by Universal Press, Providence Rhode Island, Waltham Massachusetts. It features a Modernist artwork image originally created by Dove in 1943 - 1944 titled " Dancing Willow ".
Arthur Dove ( 1880 - 1946 ) was an American born artist. An early Modernist, he is often considered to be the first American Abstract painter. Dove used a wide range of media, sometimes in unconventional combinations, to produce his Abstractions and Abstract landscapes. He experimented with techniques and materials, combining paints like hand mixed oil or tempera over a wax emulsion. Artworks by Dove are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
The rare out of print Modernist museum poster measures 26 3/4" W X 22 5/8" H. It is printed on high quality heavyweight paper stock with vibrant ink colors in a satin finish.
It is in excellent " like new " vintage condition consistent with age and very light signs of handling. It has never been framed.There is a tiny minor tear in the right side outer edge blue area. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price. less
