Antique Japanese Kutani fan shaped bowl from late Meiji - early Taisho period (1910-1920). Hand painted ooruri bird (blue and white flycatcher) resting on camellia branch. The bowl is painted in traditional Ko-Kutani technique and colors of deep green, blue, yellow, aubergine, red-brown, and black overglaze and has a traditional black on green fuku mark. Excellent condition. No cracks, no chipping, no crazing.
The bowl is 10.5" X 8.5" X 3"H. Heavy.
