Unpretentious and simple meets warm, feminine rustic style. This hand knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak rug features a large-scale cusped medallion anchored with palmette finials on either end. The centre medallion is filled with outlined flowers floating in a solid abrashed sandy field. Stepped spandrels with rectilinear vines, palmettes and stylized florals adorn each corner. The field is surrounded by double stripes composed of repeating X-shapes. The warm earth-tone Oushak rug is enclosed with an ornate floral meander border flanked with meandering guard bands and barber pole stripes. With its monochromatic warm colors and classic design, this versatile Oushak rug would ground nearly any interior with refined elegance.
