This rare vintage 1960 Mid Century Modern lithograph print Scandinavian Airlines Otto Nielsen collector's travel poster is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The original vintage lithograph print poster is published by Scandinavian Airlines System ( SAS ) in 1960, printed in Denmark by J. Chr. Sorensen & Co. A-S, Copenhagen. It features a gorgeous Mid Century Modernist style art work image originally created by Otto Nielsen.
Otto Nielsen ( 1916 - 2000 ) The Scandinavian born artist was an accomplished Modernist painted who dedicated much of his career to studying the people and animals of different international regions. Although he produced illustrations fo many travel books and numerous other artworks for commercially commissioned clients, Nielsen is best remembered for the award winning beautiful posters he created for Scandinavian Airlines for nearly 50 years.
The rare out of print large format Mid Century Modernist collector's airline travel poster measures 24 3/4" W X 39 1/4" H. It is printed on smooth finish paper stock with vibrant ink colors in a matte finish.
It is in excellent very clean vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling. It has never been framed. There is some very light edge wear. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price. less
