Surrealist figurative piece by Philadelphia artist, Conwell Savage. Framed water-color on paper. Measures 16.5" Wide x 13.5" High.
Biography:
Conwell Savage was a lifelong naturalist, artist and architect who contributed to the design of more than 30 churches and schools in the Philadelphia area. Known for Abstract landscape and marine scene paintings. Some of his fine art paintings and sculptures were exhibited in museums including the Metropolitan and the Whitney in New York.
Cowell died Feb. 18, 1996, at the age of 88.
