Description: This vintage aluminum mortar and pestle would be a decorative addition to any kitchen decor. Based on its large size, … more This vintage aluminum mortar and pestle would be a decorative addition to any kitchen decor. Based on its large size, it was probably used in an apothecary when new for compounding drugs or grinding herbs.

The mortar is 5 inches tall, 6 inches across at top & 3.5 inches across on the bottom. The pestle is 9 inches long. The set has a great primitive look with signs of use inside the mortar and on the pestle. There is some rust on the bottom as well as a few tiny chips along top edge,
