Civil War Era - Circa 1860s. This Type of Serving Spoon was typically used for Berries, Vegetables, Etc. The surface textured bowl is hand engraved - decorated in the Classic American Victorian "Bright Cut" Style - Technique. It Has a Hand Engraved Presentation - Monograms on the Back of the Handle. It has no Maker Mark but it is Marked "COIN". It Has a Substantial Silver Weight of 1.514 Troy Ounces.
It Measures 8 1/2 inches Long x ( Bowl ) 1 3/4 inches Wide, ( Handle ) 1 1/8 inches Wide.
