- This is a charming painting by M. Eleanor Evans (born 1879-1962) that I have had hanging in my house for … more This is a charming painting by M. Eleanor Evans (born 1879-1962) that I have had hanging in my house for many years. Not a lot is known about her, but what I do know is she lived and studied in New York at the National Academy of Design (NAD) and Art Students League in Paris (ASL). I believe she painted this painting in the 1920's. The painting is 14.5" by 16" oil on canvas, signed on the lower left with a 2.5" wood, gold gilt contemporary frame. The painting has been cleaned and repaired. less
