A contemplation of solitude and clarity. A dream-like image inspired by moonlit snow at the edge of the woods. Dark being driven back by light. In the painting (and perhaps in the mind) light is from an unknown source... Could it be emanating from oneself?
This is professional grade acrylic on a 16" high by 20" wide wood panel. It's framed in painted, thin wood lattice, is wired and ready to hang.
About the artist: Stephen Remick was born and raised in Vermont. He earned a BFA in Painting from Swain School of Design, a small art school in Massachusetts. He resides in a coastal New England town with his wife, Anne Carrozza Remick, who is also an artist on Chairish. Steve is currently (2025) president of a well-known and respected local artists' association. His paintings are in private collections all over the U.S. and abroad.
