Back in the 1950s, someone crafted a hemmed cloth panel from this beautiful mid-century modern barkcloth fabric. Please look closely at the photographs to view how the panel is constructed from three pieces of fabric and is expertly hemmed around three sides. The fabric's selvedge identifies the textile " A Cofabco Fully Guaranteed Print Preshrunk."
I'm not sure what purpose this textile served in its day, but this vintage fabric panel could be used today as a tablecloth for a narrow table or dining room sideboard, as a cover for a chair, hung as wall decor, or repurposed into something new.
The vintage textile is in good condition showing wear consistent with its age.
