A silver plated two-tiered Epergne, likely American, circa 1920-1930.
An Epergne is an ornamental centerpiece for a dining table or sideboard, typically used for holding fruit or flowers.
This Epergne is made of four separate pieces that fit together – a pedestal base, a large pierced basket, a plated screwed fitting, and a trumpet vase.
It can be broken down for storage.
The pedestal shows a raised, scrolled acanthus leaf pattern around the base, above the footing, and where it joins the basket.
The large basket is pierced with a pointed gadroon rim.
The top vase is trumpet shaped and sits into the screwed footing.
11.75 inches Wide x 16.5 inches High assembled.
