- For your consideration this beautifully restored late 1950's Drexel Profile Sofa. Designed by John Van Koert the Profile line was … more For your consideration this beautifully restored late 1950's Drexel Profile Sofa. Designed by John Van Koert the Profile line was introduced in 1955 and discontinued in 1961. This particular sofa is very rarely seen and produced in very low quantities compared to the rest of the line. During restoration the frame was fully stripped, all webbing and foam replaced then finally covered in Knoll/Maharam Shetland Modern Tweed textile. In an effort to contemporize the look and comfort of the sofa four button clad cushions were utilized along the back with a single full length custom bottom cushion. A vintage catalog shot of the sofa with the original cushion configuration has been included for comparison. The sofa measures 90" long by 34" deep and 29" tall with a seat height of 16.5". less
