This Pablo Picasso rare vintage 1943 limited edition French lithograph print " Nature Morte " 1942, is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection. The authentic lithograph print is printed in France in 1943 in an unnumbered limited edition by Les Editions Du Chene Paris, as part of a French portfolio of limited edition lithograph prints. It features an artwork image originally created by Picasso in 1942 titled " Nature Morte " ( Still Life ).
Pablo Picasso ( 1881 - 1973 ) was a Spanish born painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, poet and playwright who spent most of his life in France. He is regarded as one of the most important and influential artists of The 20th Century. Exceptionally prolific throughout the course of his long life, Picasso achieved universal renown and immense fortune for his revolutionary artistic accomplishments, and became one of the most well known figures in 20th Century Art.
The lithograph print plate image measures 8 1/4" w X 6 3/4" H, on a page backing that is 10 7/8" W X 14 3/4" H. The print is attached to the page with a method called " tipping " where it is attached by hand on 2 corners. Behind the print image on the page are details about the original artwork.
The rare out of print French lithograph print is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age and some signs of handling and wear to the page backing. There is a small tear in the bottom center lower edge of the page backing. It has never been framed. Please see photos for condition reference.
