Its rich, black glaze—achieved through the company’s traditional dipping method—exudes timeless sophistication and is quite a rare color. Measuring 7 1/2" tall, 4" wide at its fullest point, with a 3 1/4" rim opening and a 3" base, its sleek design is both compact and captivating as it is a little version o.f the classic oil jar form sthat is so coveted by collectors. In remarkably good condition, with only minor surface scratches that add character, this piece embodies the innovative artistry of Garden City Pottery (1902–1987).
