Lenk … Read more Art Deco picture frame from the 1930’s that is signed Lenk with his makers mark and made in Austria. Lenk was an interesting maker, just like the Neiger Brothers in Czechoslovakia he was imprisoned by the Nazis in Dachau for being Jewish. The Nazis took these Jewish owned factories that made beautiful things and turned them into munitions factories and imprisoned the owners. This frame is a rare survivor and wears its age pretty well. There is some minor wear on the engine turning on the right hand side of the top, but no breaks, It survived pretty well to tell its story. It measures 3 1/2”L x 2 1/4”W. The picture size is 2 3/4”L x 1 3/8”W. See less
