Signed lower right, "Art McWhorter" for Arthur McWhorter (American, mid-20th century).

Arthur McWhorter first studied at New York's American Artist's Professional League and, subsequently, at the University of Washington before settling in Sausalito, California.. A member of the American Watercolor Society and the Society of Western Artists, he exhibited widely and with success and was the recipient of numerous medals, prizes and juried awards. We are pleased to offer this elegant and atmospheric New York cityscape dating to circa 1950.
