This is a superbly crafted French malachite gueridon with the mysterious and magical qualities some attribute to the stone on top that is believed to protect people from negative energy in from the spiritual realm. Whether or not you believe in such things, this table is a highly prize and extremely well-made work of art that is incredibly rare and hard to find. The gold Dore' finish and crisp bronze casting are superb. The table is in good condition with minor signs of age and use. Dates to 1970's and is french.
