"The inspiration behind sculpting the Spanish fighting bull stems from a deep fascination with the animal’s strength, spirit, and cultural significance. Growing up hearing stories of Spanish Bullfighting and eventually attending a bullfight in Spain in my early 20’s, I witnessed the reverence the bull commands. I developed a profound respect for the animal as a symbol of both raw power and grace. The bull represents a timeless narrative of struggle, honor, and tradition. I wanted to capture not only the bull’s physicality but also the complex emotions it evokes—its fierce determination, fiery expression, and the dramatic tension inherent in its role within the Spanish cultural landscape. The bull serves as both a tribute to a revered cultural icon and an expression of honor in the eternal battle between human and nature." - Jesse Nusbaum
