All 12 of the Plates are in Strong - Sound and Perfectly Usable Condition. 10 of the Plates are in Perfect Condition with No Chips and No Cracks. Minor Imperfections Noted on 2 of the Plates. 1 of them has a Very Old Hairline Crack at the Rim. The Other Plate has a Small Surface Inclusion on the Back Side Only but Note that it is Glazed Indicating This is Actually a Minor Flaw that Would have Occurred in The Making - Kiln Firing Process. These can Best be Seen in The Last 3 Photographs in My Listing. less

This Really is a Absolutely Beautiful & Very Unusual Matching Set of 12 Antique French Majolica Oyster Plates - Serving Dishes. They Come from the Art Deco Period. They are Signed by the Much Sought After & Well Documented Company Digoin & Sarreguemines France. My Research Confirms that This Particular Version of The Black Ink Stamp SARREGUEMINES FRANCE Mark was Only Used Briefly from 1919 to 1920. These Plates would have been Used to Serve Oysters on the Half Shell in the 6 Outer Wells with a Center Well for Horseradish - Sauces Etc. They are Molded - Sculpted and Rendered in the Classic Art Deco Style. The Monocrome Color can Best be Described as Bubble Gum - Light Pink. The Set is in Very Good All Original Condition and They Displays Beautifully. All 12 of the Plates are in Strong - Sound and Perfectly Usable Condition. 10 of the Plates are in Perfect Condition with No Chips and No Cracks. Minor Imperfections Noted on 2 of the Plates. 1 of them has a Very Old Hairline Crack at the Rim.
