The piece is attributed to designer Ercole Barovier, for the Barovier e Toso company. Created in the "Bullicante" technique. The clear bubbles inside the body create an unusual pattern, mimicking the feathers. The bird has gold leaf on its feet, beak, eyes, and the rim of holder. Very nicely sculptured. Looks like a real duck. Would make a great piece on any console table, dresser or credenza. Display it as a sculptural piece, or use it as the candlestick. Early Mid-century era. Measures: 8" tall x 5" long x 4" wide.
