Beautiful and tall, vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso lavender purple and bright red Italian art glass vanity perfume bottle. Attributed to the Seguso Vetri d'Arte Company. Similar ones are shown on the Seguso Vetri D' Arte archives and book (see last photo). It still has the original stopper. The red bottle is covered in a layer of Neodymium "Alexandrite" glass, which changes color from daylight to indoor light, from lavender to an icy teal blue. It has a very unusual genie bottle / guitar shape, with flared out rim and a tear drop stopper. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or curio cabinet. Mid-century era. Collectors item! Measures 11 3/4" tall x 2 7/8" long x 2" wide at the rim.
