Whimsical Adirondack-style branch and twig checkerboard design folk art tray; a perfect accent to complement a rustic or cabin chic decorscape. The tray’s solid wood construction begins with a rectangular wooden frame that is planed and sanded smooth on the underside and supported by raw trimmed limbs as the platform. The topside is trimmed in live edge wood flanked by sturdy small kindling size trimmed handles. The tray’s interior, a striking hand painted black checkerboard pattern on a bright red hand painted background, is truly lovely! This cutie measures 22” x 14” x 2¼” W/D/H (width is measured from handle-to-handle); tray surface top 18” x 12” W/D; weight 2 lbs. 14 oz. Made sometime in the mid 1980s by Forest Time Products, a Litchfield, Minnesota company that is no longer in business. In excellent condition with minimal age-appropriate wear. Since wood is an organic material, it can shrink across the grain which in the case of this cutie, it tilts slightly which does not affect it beauty or utility. Makers signature on the underside of the tray. It’d be a fabulous accent on a nicely sized ottoman or a charming piece of wall-art to hang on a small accent wall surrounded by other like-minded pieces.
