Charming, antique provincial lady in country dress, salt and pepper server made to commemorate the year 1792 but was made in 1892. This faience piece likely sold as a centennial object for the 100th anniversary celebrations of the French Revolution that took place across the country. She is decorated with a bonnet, dress with foliage and a coat of arms.
No two pieces of faience ceramics are the same as each were handpainted in brightly colored, colors / patterns in different provinces known for their pottery.
