Experience the historical grandeur of this cristallo Murano chandelier, featuring four frond elements and long spiraling decorations emanating from the central bowl. The design of this chandelier was developed after Ercole Barovier, whose glassworks continue to inspire and influence artisans today. The piece is enhanced with aventurine glass, one of the most popular Murano glass techniques, distinguished by sparkling inclusions of mineral oxides captured inside translucent glass.
This stunning piece features the renowned ‘bullicante’ and ‘rigaree’ techniques. Bullicante is characterized by captivating bubble patterns embedded within the glass, evoking the charm of gently effervescent water. These bubble patterns can be seen in the frosted glass central bowl, and at the top of the scrolling central finial. Rigaree is a decorative process that creates texture and a desired raised pattern, as seen in the frond embellishments and trim.
Produced in the legendary glass houses of Murano, this chandelier is not just a lighting fixture but a piece of art, reflecting centuries of glassmaking excellence. The intricate details and masterful craftsmanship make it an exceptional statement piece that promises to elevate the sophistication of any space it occupies, traditional or contemporary.
