This Andy Warhol Foundation rare vintage 1993 offset lithograph print iconic extra large Pop Art poster " Marilyn Monroe " 1967, is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.

Printed in Germany in 1993 with the licensed authorized rights of The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Inc. Andy Warhol ( 1928 - 1987 ) is one of the singularly most well kn own Contemporary artists of all time. His imagery is recognized worldwide. His infamous life, art works, and creative endeavors are like no other artist. He is credited as the very first artist to use common everyday objects and view them in a completely different way while paying homage to their role in our society. Glorifying the common as the beautiful. His technique utilizing a silkscreen method combined with hand finishing in a signature palette of vibrant color hues make the work stand on its own and loved by millions.
Warhol's " Marilyn Monroe " 1967, is from one of the artists most sought after acclaimed portfolio series. This Pop Art portrait is feminine, bold, and iconic. The image is based on Gene Korman's photograph pf the starlet, a promotional photo for the 1953 Film Noir Niagara. The bold coloration of the artwork recalls the saturated hues of the technicolor world in which Marilyn Monroe's career skyrocketed.
