Offered is an extra tall hand-crafted pepper mill, made in Italy in the early 1960s. Made by Fratelli Beltrami, hand turned and lathed, these extra tall pieces are sometimes referred to as Restaurant Pepper Mills, for staff to serve pepper to guests with flair and panache, and without getting too close to the meal served. The solid brass top finial can be turned to adjust the grind coarseness as well as well as to remove the top cap for filling with peppercorns. The shaft is slightly tapered making it easy to hold and use. It's very heavy and sturdy - perfect for a home with a gourmet chef who insists on stylish culinary everything, including the seasoning duty....
