An impressive Pair of 18th Century Philadelphia Chippendale Carved Mahogany Chairs with newer seat upholstery. One of the most profusely arved Rococo style side chairs known from Colonial PPhiladelpha. The newer upholstery with the Apotheosis of Homer theme: the poet, seated on a throne, is hailed by Apollo and the Muses, History, Poetry and sundry other allegorical figures.
