Small carved and gilded frame from the Baroque period, made in the first decades of the 18th century. The frame is made of lime wood carving without applied parts; it is decorated with symmetrical leaf scrolls which end in the lower part in a coat of arms and on the cymatium in a shell on which a winged cupid flies down carrying a crown to the one depicted in the portrait, a probable bride metaphorically represented as Venus, according to the typical attributes , shell and Love. The proximity to the most famous frame attributed to Parodi, in which the narration of the judgment of Paris is depicted, is evident: the molding of the frame is the same as the two putti placed in the shell, in that case placed at the base of the frame, a detail that makes us think of a production by a pupil of the same workshop. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
