Incredible vintage French table lamp featuring a heraldic lion balancing two vine-like lamp arms in its teeth and holding a crested shield. The original, celadon green silk & parchment lampshade is not in the best condition but is interesting to see as an ensemble with the base. It has a bronze-tone contrasting trim, and is mounted on a tall brass post rising from the lion figure. Sculptural and stylized, the unusual combination of historic references might raise more questions than the lamp can illuminate!
