Stunning pair of Regency hall chairs from England, circa 1800. Dramatic in color alone, the solid mahogany planks lend themselves well to carved, scrolling details in the shield-back seats. In the center of the back, a heraldic device in the form of a small vignette in polychrome depicts a wild-eyed horned goat after being shot through the heart with an arrow.
