This is a Great Looking - Very Rare and Unusual Antique American Sterling Silver and Oak 2 Piece Matching Salad Serving Set. Circa Early 1900s. This Large Scale Set is Completely Hand Made and it is Rendered in the Classic American Arts & Crafts Style. The Spoon Bowl and Fork are Hand Wrought Out of Heavy Gauge Solid Sterling Silver with Hammered Decorated Surfaces. The Handles are Carved out of Solid Tiger Grain Oak Wood with a Dark Color Still Retaining their Original Varnish. There is No Maker Mark but They are Both Marked STERLING. Most Likely a Custom Made or Special Order Item. The Set is in Very Nice All Original Cosmetic & Functional Condition with Only Minimal Age and Use Related Wear - Displays Beautifully. No Damage - No Repairs. The Silver is Lightly Tarnished. The 2 Piece Set has a Substantial Combined Total Weight ( Including Wood Handle ) of 184.63 Grams / 5.936 Troy Ounces
The Spoon Measures Approx 1 inch Tall x 12 2/3 inches Long x 2 3/8 inches Wide at Bowl.
