Antique Flemish oak bench, c.1850
A good scale two seater bench, all hand carved. The back has an unusual subject of two scenes depicting crocodiles and figures. There are fine carved details throughout from the curled arm ends, the two pointed finials on the top, to the geometric carved design on the front and sides. Solid peg construction and good antique condition. Recently waxed and polished.
