These Types - Styles of Baskets were Primarily Produced and Used in North Eastern America From the Up State New York Adirondack - New Hampshire - Vermont and Down East Coastal Maine Regions. It is Rendered in a Classic American Steam Bent Wood Hoop Carry Handle Style. NOTE That the Basket is Slightly Oblong Round at the Top Rim and Transitions to a Rectangular Shape at the Base. It is Completely Hand Made - Hand Woven out of Thick & Sturdy Indigenous North American Ash Wood Splint. The Attention to Detail would Indicate that it was Made by a Well Seasoned - Experienced Basket Maker. The Top Rim also has a Sturdy Steam Bent Wood Ring that has Been Attached - Wrapped in the Weaving. It is in Excellent All Original Untouched as it Has Survived Over the Years Condition - No Damage. It is Strong, Sound and has Developed a Wonderful Naturally Aged Color & Patina - Displays Beautifully!.
