There may be a few micro abrasions on the glass, but just standing by the lamp you don't see anything. Some tarnishing or patina to the galleries and a few tiny specs on the base. It is a great lamp and home ready. The shade is new. I purchased it from the lamp shop when I took it in to be rewired.
