The body of this piece … Read more Vintage ornate mid century Chinese jewelry box / treasure chest with brass handle and fittings. The body of this piece is stunning - a glossy lacquered deep brown with red tones and subtle floral motifs throughout. This is off set by plentiful brass fittings and handles which are also ornate and hand etched with beautiful craftsmanship. It has tons of storage! The top opens up to boast a mirror in the lid, floral red lining, and three compartments (large center compartment sandwiched between two slotted ring compartments). In addition there is one swinging door on the left and three sliding drawers on the right side: two with open compartments and one with slotted rings next to an open portion. All parts are lined with red floral silk. The backside has a plaque that reads "MADE IN CHINA". It is in overall great vintage condition and ready to hold your jewelry or treasures!
