Handsome set of equestrian themed bookends in the English Country House tradition. Consists of rectangular ebonized wood panels with clipped corners adorned with delicate hand painted enamel horse scenes within a chased brass filigree frame. No maker's marks.
Dimensions: overall, 4"W x 2.25"D x 4"H; wood panels, 4"W x 4"H, medallions & frame, 3.25"W x 1.75"H.
Very good vintage condition; no cracks, no chips. Obvious finish wear on the metal base plates which are hidden by books when in use.
Free local pickup; otherwise shipped via economical parcel delivery.
