This Japonisme style inkwell is signed F. Barbedienne for Ferdinand Barbedienne. The inkwell features two turtles on the lid and two supporting the body in a Japanese style, the body which is carved from a red jasper. Possibly had another piece on the bottom as there are two mounting holes.

Condition: Good antique condition with general age wear. Might have had another part to the base.
