Decorate your master bath counter with this elegant antique dressing mirror. Crafted in France circa 1870, the freestanding table mirror with the original beveled mercury glass, features a centered ornate green marble decorated with cloisonné mounts motifs. The piece is embellished by a decorative carved shell motif at the pediment, and resting on an elaborate brass hinged stand. The mirror is in excellent condition with rich patinated finish.
Cloisonné or champlevé is an ancient technique for decorating metal or marble objects. In this technique, enamel, glass, or gemstones are separated by strips of flattened wire that are placed on a metal backing.
Measures: 11.5" W x 16.5" H. less
